Equipping Churches to Support Young People's Mental Health

THE CHALLENGE

Young people's mental health is one of the biggest challenges facing our communities today.

Across the UK, increasing numbers of young people are struggling with anxiety, low mood, loneliness and emotional distress.

Many find themselves caught in a gap.

Not unwell enough for specialist services. Not well enough to thrive.

WHY CHURCHES MATTER

The Church may not be able to do everything. But it can do some things uniquely well.

✓ Relationship

✓ Belonging

✓ Community

✓ Hope

HOW THE PILLAR CAN HELP…

Creating safe, relational support spaces for young people.

We currently operate two Pillar Spaces in Hampshire, supporting young people who are struggling with their mental health before difficulties reach crisis point.

We're now beginning conversations with churches interested in exploring whether a Pillar Space could work in their community.

TRAINING & CONSULTANCY

Helping churches respond to young people's mental health with confidence.

Whether you're looking for practical training for your team, support to strengthen existing provision, or guidance on where to begin, we're here to help.

From one-off training sessions to ongoing consultancy, we can help your church explore what's possible in your context.

We're currently developing a growing collection of resources, tools and guidance based on everything we've learned through The Pillar so far.

The Toolkit will help churches build confidence, strengthen practice and take practical steps towards supporting young people's mental health.

Not ready to launch a Pillar Space?

That's okay. Most churches we work with don't start there.

We help churches offer young people peace, hope and freedom.

Annie’s Story

Let’s Start the Conversation

A young woman with long, wavy brown hair standing by a brick wall near a window, smiling at the camera, wearing a black and white striped long-sleeve shirt and gray skirt.

Hi, I'm Georgia.

If you've made it this far, there's a good chance you care deeply about young people and want your church to play a part in supporting their mental health.

The good news is that you don't need to have all the answers.

Whether you're looking for training, exploring a Pillar Space, or simply trying to work out what might be possible in your context, I'd love to hear your story and explore it with you.

So why not book a conversation and let's see where it leads?
