Referral Guidance for Professionals

  • Referrals are currently open for the Pillar Space at Totton and Lordshill. The team at either Totton or Lordshill will contact the young person and their parent/carer within two weeks of referral. However, there may be a waiting time before a young person can start if the Pillar Space is currently full.

  • In order for a young person to be able to attend the Pillar Space, they will need to be referred to the project by a local professional. Referral agencies complete the e-referral form with the young person and their parent/carer.

The Pillar welcomes referrals from the following individuals:

    • Hampshire and Southampton Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)

    • Mental Health Schools Team (part of CAMHS)

    • Hampshire and Southampton Children's Services

    • University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust

    • Schools and Colleges in either Totton, Lordshill and the surrounding areas

    • GP surgeries or primary care services within Totton, Lordshill and surrounding areas

    • Youth Pastors from any church within Totton, Lordshill and surrounding areas

    • Hampshire Police

If the referral is suitable, our team will contact the young person and their parent/carer via telephone and an initial face-to-face meeting will be arranged. If the referral is not suitable, i.e more information is required, our team will contact the referring professional via email requesting further information.
